Andy Mckay had a first look here at the Google's newly released webapp Engine.
Unless you already hurried to get one of the 10.000 free accounts released for developers in this preview release, you will have to wait for the next release where commercial accounts are to be expacted.
However, you may already download the SDK and start playing.
If you love Python, Django et co, chances are that's going to be something to look into.
